This is probably one of the newer movies on my list. If you haven't seen it, and you work in a cubical farm, then you are missing out.
This is one of the few movies I can think of that deals with the office environment in a somewhat realistic manner. Considering the number of people who spend half of their waking hours in a cubicle I think this is long overdue.
I don't think anybody saw this movie in the theater but it is one of those movies that has found new life on cable. Every year that passes the more people have seen it and the more it becomes part of the lexicon. (kind of like A Christmas Story),
It does a good job of capturing some of the frustration of working for a faceless corporation. Multiple bosses, reducing someone's birthday to meaningless cake for everybody born in October, unpaid overtime etc. It also skewers the work of chain restaurants with heir rules of things like "Flare" and stupid slogans.
The movie manages to do all of this and still have a story. At my office the familiarity level with this movie is about 50% and growing every year as we pass copies of it around to the uninformed. Initech mouse pads and coffee cups have started to pop up. When we all start wearing 15 pieces of flair you will know we have gone over the edge.
See the movie and fill out a TPS report on it as soon as you can.
